Still, Juan Soto’s insane $765 million deal with Flushing’s finest probably doesn’t mean your team can no longer play baseball. I’m not even sure it raised the price of free agency for most players, because it’s so nutty on every level that you aren’t going to find too many comps that make any sense. Look at this deal too long and you turn into a pillar of salt.
