Let’s be clear that the NFL won’t decide what happens to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who on Thursday night suffered his third diagnosed concussion in the past two years. The league is just too big for that. It’s a monolith of money. It does not exist to ponder the fate of a single player, not even a popular one, not even on a hot-button issue, not even when that player’s fate is brought into question right in front of a national broadcast audience.
