Kevin Durant has been in the league for so long, Oklahoma City is good again. It’s shocking. As a Thunder honk, I remember vividly a young Durant’s ascent to superstar status in OKC and everything that came with that, the good, the bad and the maddening — but somewhere along the line afterwards, after KD bailed, I suppose I lost a bit of interest in the whole Durant timeline. Turns out he’s not a kid anymore.
Still, we will brook no slander when it comes to Durant, who maybe could see the horizon line last weekend during and especially after the Phoenix Suns’ wildly inglorious first-round dispatch from the NBA Playoffs.
