Great column on a mess of a situation. How often do you hear a mayor tell a pro sports franchise to stay where you are and figure out a plan? That sums this mess up.

Absolutely loving this. Fisher and Manfred have made their bed, soiled it, and now they get to sleep in it for three or four years. I expect the Vegas deal collapses.

Once again with the head slapping sounds from here. Can't Brad Pitt come in and save SOMETHING?

In a way, it's my dream come true. Since I was a kid I've wished I could live minutes away from the Giants, but work got in the way. Now, it's the A's. Okay.

But will Major League Baseball still feel like MLB in a minor league stadium? How much will tickets cost given that demand is sure to outstrip supply by a wide margin when it's not 105 degrees for 10 days straight. (So much for scheduling getaway days in the summer.)

If not staying put, and Vegas ain't all that interested: hello Nashville, or Montreal? Maybe the AAA setting is appropriate given what they've done to the roster. God bless the players who are there trying to stay in the SHOW and make a living, but C'mon Man. Truly sad development given the successful years of the franchise.
